Hello! My name is Jessica Martinez, and I am the PBL (Project-Based Learning) Teacher. I have a son starting his third year at Great Minds. I’ve always enjoyed being part of a learning environment, and the one at Great Minds is truly special. Having a dialogue and thinking outside of the box is encouraged, different points of view and learning styles are respected, and kids are celebrated for being themselves. Project-Based Learning (PBL), a primary focus at Great Minds, really speaks to me and is the way I learn best. I need to figure things out in a hands-on way.
I graduated from high school in Houston and then attended HCC. A few years later, I moved to Austin, met my husband, and we started our family. Along with the kids, we have two dogs and three guinea pigs. I love the beach, hiking, reading (especially historical novels), baking, and practicing AcroYoga.
