Application Process

 

Welcome! We’re thrilled that you’re considering joining our unique community of gifted learners and twice-exceptional learners at Great Minds Learning Community!

Currently, we have limited space for the Spring 2018 pilot program for Grades 4-8 or equivalent. Starting in November 2017 we accept applications for the 2018-2019 academic year, ages 5-14 (Grades 1-9 or equivalent).

Here are the steps to join:

STEP 1) Complete Application and Submit Electronically. After exploring the website in-depth, complete the application. We appreciate you completing it fully, as it is one of the best ways we can find best-fit students and enhance the learning experience for all.

Click here to download the application. Save it as a new file on your computer. Include the prospective student’s first name, last name, and the word “application” in the file name (e.g. John Doe Application).

Once you complete the application, please attach it to an email and send it to info@greatmindslc.com. Email us or give us a call at 512-750-1417 with any questions you have as you’re completing the application, or at any time. We’re here to help!

After your application is received, we’ll send an email confirmation with further instructions on when we can meet for a family interview/tour to get to know each other better and ensure a mutual fit.

STEP 2) Tour with Interview. During the tour you’ll learn more about our mission, values, and educational approach; see the school; meet the guide/head of school; and ask any additional questions you might have. After the tour if you’re ready we usually proceed immediately after with the Family Interview. These interviews give us a chance to get to know each other better, answer any other questions you have about the school, and further explore whether the school would likely be a good fit for the student.

Note: Please bring only the prospective student and parent/s to the tour in order to minimize distractions and maximize our time together.

STEP 3) After the Tour/Family Interview we will contact you shortly with an admission decision.

STEP 4) Upon acceptance pay the $1000 non-refundable Enrollment Fee (which is applied toward tuition) and the $400 Annual Supply Fee within 10 days or before the first day of school, whichever comes first. The remaining tuition will be billed in 10 monthly payments.
