Application Process

Application Process

Welcome! We’re thrilled that you’re considering joining our unique community of gifted learners and twice-exceptional learners at Great Minds Learning Community!

We are currently accepting applications for grades 5-12 for the 2024-2025 academic year. Spots are limited!

The application process consists of attending an Open House, submitting an application and portfolio work, a family photo, and a family interview in an effort to ensure a great fit for the child, family, and school group.

Here are the steps to join:

STEP 1) Complete Application and Submit It Electronically. Then Mail the $75 Non-Refundable Application Fee to Great Minds Learning Community, c/o Deanne Repich at 17912 Narsitin Lane, Pflugerville, TX 78660.

Once you have completed the application and click the Submit Application button, it will be emailed directly to us and you will see a message on the screen confirming that the application was sent. Also, we ask that as a part of the application process, you please send a family photo and a work sample (either written, photos of a project or hobby with description, or video link to a 1-2-minute video) of a recent project or assignment of which your child is proud. It could be a project, something built, a story, or anything that excites him and of which he is proud.

Email us or give us a call at 512-750-1417 with any questions you have as you’re completing the application, or at any time. We’re here to help!

After your application is received, we’ll send an email confirmation with further instructions on scheduling the Family Interview to get to know each other better and ensure a mutual fit.

Want to attend an Open House before submitting an application? Check our Open House and Events page to RSVP for our next Open House!

STEP 2) Family Interview: During the Family Interview you’ll tour the school; learn more about our mission, values, and educational approach; meet the guide/head of school; and ask any additional questions you might have. Family Interviews give us a chance to get to know each other better, answer any other questions you have about the school, and further explore whether the school would likely be a good fit for the student.

Note: Please bring only the prospective student and parents to the Family Interview in order to minimize distractions and maximize our time together.

Note: If you would like to schedule a Student Shadow day after the Family Interview, let us know, and we can arrange for a day for your child to join us during school hours

STEP 3) After the Family Interview we will contact you shortly with an admission decision.

STEP 4) For 2023-2024: Upon acceptance, pay the $1500 Enrollment Fee, which includes the $500 Deposit. (All of the $1500 is applied toward tuition.)

There will be a 3-week trial period at the beginning of the school year to give parents, students, and the school an opportunity to ensure a mutual fit. If for some reason there is not a mutual fit, tuition and the supply fee will be prorated for the days attended, and there will be a refund of the remaining amount paid, minus the non-refundable deposit and a $150 administrative fee.

We look forward to meeting you! We are here to answer any questions you might have and be a support to you as you begin this exciting journey!
